Within Old Town is The Scottsdale Arts District, home to a variety of galleries featuring contemporary Western, and Native American art. The area also hosts a weekly ArtWalk every Thursday, where galleries stay open late, and visitors can stroll through the district enjoying the exhibits.
Old Town has become a culinary hotspot with a variety of restaurants, from casual cafes to fine dining. There are also plenty of bars, lounges, and clubs that make the area lively, especially at night.
If you enjoy shopping there are a variety of boutiques, jewelry stores, and unique shops abound, offering everything from Southwestern-themed items to high-end fashion. The Scottsdale Waterfront and Fifth Avenue Shopping Districts are also nearby.
Located in Old Town is the Scottsdale Historical Museum, which offers a glimpse into Scottsdale’s history housed in an old schoolhouse. Also located in Old Town is Scottsdale’s Museum of the West which showcases art, history, and culture from the American West, with rotating exhibits that focus on the region’s influence on the country.
A nearby public park, Civic Center Mall, is home to iconic sculptures, including the famous “LOVE “ sculpture by Robert Indiana. It’s also a space for public events and concerts.
Old Town Scottsdale is known for its walkability and is easily explored on foot or via one of the local trolley services. Its combination of history, art and entertainment makes it one of the top destinations in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
